Chateau History

A Corvallis citizen since the age of three, Mike Moore grew up wanting to be a builder (yes, that is Mike in the picture to the right as a child).  During the early 80’s while attending Corvallis High School (Class of ‘83) construction was in an economic slump & hi-tech looked like the career to pursue; however, Mike never lost his interest in design, building, real estate & construction.  During his career, Mike & Laurie built &/or finished 7 homes, a shop/loft, 2 basements & 3 bonus rooms for their own family.

In the year 2000, Mike's father was killed in a tragic car accident that caused him to reevaluate his hi-tech marketing career, family life, home location & future.  That was the impetus leading to his family's return to Corvallis & the creation of Chateau Construction in 2001.  Mike felt fortunate to be able to pursue his dream of building & managing real estate full-time. Now retired, real estate & development remain a passion that he finds very fulfilling. Mike & Laurie enjoy loving & mentoring all 4 of their children while they get established here in Corvallis.
 

Brayden Moore joined Chateau Construction as a partner & superintendent in 2010.  He is a hard worker & has extensive experience in framing, building cabinets & excavation with unbelievable handyman skills. Brayden earned a BS degree in Business Management from Oregon State University in 2014.  He also earned his Oregon State Property Management License in 2013, which was the foundation of our partnership to create Chateau Management. Brayden is also married to Brianna & the father of four beautiful children. 
 

Mike & Brayden’s skills complement each other well creating an excellent team to build & manage the investment rental that suits your financial objectives.  Chateau Construction used a process of building investment rentals that created distinctive homes with Quality, Style & Detail. 

Mike Moore retired from designing and building quality homes in 2018; however, he and Laurie enjoy contributing to the success of Chateau Management and volunteering in the Corvallis Community.
