Chateau Construction is pleased to build your home regardless of the plan source or where the lot was purchased. Sometimes my customers have already hired a designer/architect to draw custom plans specifically for their special lot. Other times customers have asked me to build their homes from a set of plans they found on the Internet or in a plan book. We do both regularly. Most often, customers ask me to draw custom plans for them to make sure their new home specifically reflects their own style and needs.

In partnership with my clients, I have designed and personally drawn the plans for many of the homes that Chateau Construction has built. These include custom homes from 1,350 to over 12,000 square feet. I enjoy discussing my customers’ desired design elements and working with them to optimize the flow, features and style of their new home.

My family and I have built (and then lived in) 7 different new homes over the last 20+ years. These experiences have given me a rather unique perspective and working knowledge of how plans translate to living space upon completion. It has taught me what works and what doesn’t. The process of selling these homes has also given me a good idea about what is most desirable to the general market and which features have a better return on investment (ROI). In other words, I understand what features and amenities create the greatest value. I’m happy to share this learning freely with my clients while encouraging them to express their own creative directions.

It is a very real advantage to have me design and then build your home. It actually saves time. Doing the design phase together also gives us more time together to capture your creative vision before we even engage in the actual building process. I see the finished product not as a set of plans, but as a completed home that delivers on my customers’ hopes and expectations. The shared vision acquired during the design phase often helps us achieve greater customer satisfaction during the construction phase.
